Fitment Guide

Everything in this store is made to order. Four things determine what you get — take a minute on each before you check out.

1. Racket model

Each pallet, extension and concave handle is engineered for one racket family (for example “Head Speed” or “Babolat Pure Aero”). Buy the product that names your racket. If your exact racket year isn’t listed, contact us with the model and year before ordering — handle geometry sometimes changes between generations.

2. Grip size (L2–L6)

Grip size is the finished circumference of the handle once the part is installed, on the European L scale:

Size Approx. circumference
L2 105 mm (4 1/4″)
L3 108 mm (4 3/8″)
L4 111 mm (4 1/2″)
L5 114 mm (4 5/8″)
L6 117 mm (4 3/4″)

Measure your current grip, or measure your hand: with your dominant hand open, the distance from the tip of your ring finger to the middle crease of your palm is a good starting point. If you’re between sizes, size down — you can build a grip up with an overgrip, but you can’t shave it.

3. Handle shape (A / B / C)

Three cross-section profiles of the finished handle. A is the most neutral; B and C progressively change the bevel definition and how the handle indexes in your hand. If the exact profile matters to your choice, contact us with your racket model and we’ll tell you which one suits what you’re after.

4. Extension length (extensions only) — 1 to 25 mm

How much longer the handle makes the racket. This is a continuous measurement, not a set of options, so you enter the exact number of millimetres.

  • ~1.6 swingweight points per mm. A 10 mm extension adds roughly 16 SW points.
  • Longer extensions raise swingweight with relatively little added mass — this lowers polarization and can raise MGR/I, which many players find improves stability and plow-through.
  • Extension also adds reach.
  • Standard racket length is 27″. Tournament play is capped at 29″ — keep total length legal for your competition.

If you don’t have a target swingweight in mind, a consulting package will calculate one from your racket and your game.

Still unsure?

contact us with your racket model and year, your current grip size and what you’re trying to change. We’ll tell you what to order.
